Flying and Falling

Literally spinning around in my room
Feels so much like I’m spinning around with you
High of the life I found thriving inside it
The dizziness and tipsiness will only make me sick
The feeling of water and wind
Blowing cold against my skin
The only way to stay
Under a hundred degrees
And to abolish the hotness of me
*I’m flying, flying
In the sky
I can touch the stars,
I’m so high
I’m flying, flying
In the sky_
Feels like I’m using someone else’s legs to walk
Feels like I’m not walking at all
Moving through the air,
Each molecule hits me separately
And I can’t even think
Floating on a cloud of nothing but me
Floating as the wind’s blowing and I’m drinking
Something mixed with lemonade
I feel my inhibitions fade
*I’m flying, flying
In the sky
I can touch the stars,
I’m so high
I’m flying, flying
In the sky_
Can you climb into my window now?
And see me staring back at you
And you could teach me how
To live without proof
*I’m flying, flying
In the sky
I can touch the stars,
I’m so high
I’m flying, flying
Around with you
And we’re leaving, leaving
Behind the truth_
Literally spinning around in my room
Feels so much like I’m spinning around with you
High off the cheap wine I found chilled in the fridge
The dizziness and tipsiness will only make me sick
The feeling of water and wind
Blowing cold against my skin
Kiss me quickly, before the night is over
And sing to me softly, before I get sober
*I’m falling, I’m falling
Out of the sky
I can see the grass on the ground
I’m still falling down
I’m falling, I’m falling
Without you
And you’re leaving, leaving
Me with the truth
Is this what I get?
For leaving behind my
Inhibitions?
From now on I’ll keep my head up
And my enemies farther from me
And my eyes open when I am smiling
And feet vertical when I’m feeling sleepy
Is the flying worth the falling,
Out of the sky?
Falling’s what happens when
You believe their lie.
